It’s been a while….. One of my dearest friends started chemotherapy today, and I’m just sick about it. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I’m hopeful that my experiences will help me better serve her and anyone in my life in need of help, love, and support. TMI? Today is National Cancer Survivor Day. What does that mean, and who is a survivor? I think it means anyone who has been diagnosed, is currently undergoing treatment, has cancer, is in remission…. You get the picture. If all goes well, by this time tomorrow I will be ileostomy free!! Meaning, my small intestine will be reconnected and *hopefully* all my plumbing will work as it should. It’s been a while since my last update—shortly after surgery—and I wanted to check in and share how things are going. This may seem silly to be happy about, but I am! This is tough for me…. My friends put this Go Fund Me together to help Michael Erwin and I cover some expenses. It’s very humbling to realize in a very real way that you can’t do all that you need to do by yourself. Hello friends! It’s been a couple of weeks and I wanted to give you all an update. Healing is slow going, but at least I’m sleeping which is a huge improvement. My pain is minimal and I feel like I finally have my mind back. More than anything, I’m grateful to be in my home with Michael & the kids ♥️
